Often times a guest book is often sidelined to a bookshelf and rarely looked at. Why not make it something that can be cherished and looked at often? Alternative guest book ideas are becoming more and more popular, and ideas are getting more and more creative.
These alternative guest book ideas are also giving couples the chance to show off their personalities more in their wedding. If gives you an opportunity to personalize your wedding even more. Get a little quirky, be original, think outside the box. There are plenty of beautiful traditional guest book ideas, however there are also some amazing alternatives that can become statement pieces in your home that you can enjoy for years after the wedding. Here are five of my favorite alternatives to the classic guest book.
1. A globe - If your love life is centered around travel, consider a globe guestbook! It can mark the guest from your wedding but also can become home decor after the wedding. You could even have guest mark destinations they think should be added to your travel bucket list.

2. Polaroid Guest Book - Have your guests take snaps of themselves with a Polaroid camera and leave their guestbook notes on the back of the pictures and pop them in a box. You will be able to reminisce immediately following the wedding while you wait for your wedding photographer to edit your wedding album! You could also consider making a scrapbook out of these after the wedding to keep them in a safe place forever!

3. A quilt - Craft something memorable with your guestbook. Give guests blank quit squares and fabric pens as the guest book and let them use their artistic license. After the wedding, sew the pieces together into a quilt that you can cherish forever.

4. Bucket list additions - Ask for adventure ideas! Encourage your guests to brainstorm bucket list ideas for you to complete throughout your marriage. Consider custom stationary to add a personal touch.

5. Create a calendar - set yourselves up for success in your first year as a married couple. Plan ahead with this custom pieces by adding your names and wedding date to a printed calendar. Have your guest sign throughout the pages, adding important birthdays, date ideas, etc. As you make it through your first year, you will open up each month to notes from your nearest and dearest.
